Commissioning of RF (Radio Frequency) systems involves a structured, multi-phase testing process to ensure readiness for operation.

Key Phases and Steps in RF System Commissioning:

  • Installation & Inspection: Initial verification of waveguides, antenna installation, and cabling to avoid physical interference.
  • Low-Power Testing: Validation of the LLRF system and signal routing to ensure correct operation of control modules.
  • High-Power Conditioning: Gradually increasing RF power to components (klystrons, waveguides, cavities, etc.) to reach full operational voltage.
  • Cavity Conditioning: Specifically, this involves passing through the multipacting zone using pulsed RF power to achieve stable operating vacuum levels.
  • Control Loop Setup: Tuning phase and amplitude loops to ensure precise stability and manage transients.
  • Performance Optimization: Performing signal path validation and calibration to achieve stable operation.
01.
Quality & Reliable

Commissioning an RF system is essential to ensure that complex wireless technology functions correctly from day one, guaranteeing optimal performance, safety compliance, and reliability.

02.

Licensed & Insured

Commissioning RF systems requires navigating Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensing for spectrum use and ensuring equipment authorization.

03.
Skilled Architect

An expert in commissioning RF (Radio Frequency) systems—such as Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), BDA (Bi-Directional Amplifiers), and satellite terminals—specializes in verifying, testing, and optimizing hardware and software to meet design specifications.
